Latin community united in West Kelowna!
We are glad to talk about the support that latin farmers workers have received from different people to help them feel better during this difficult time.
As we know, some of the agricultural workers had been tested positive from COVID-19 in West Kellowna, Canada. They actually are currently in isolation and receiving medical assistance. We have been in contact with Byland’s management team and were pleased to know that the affected individuals are being well taken care of.
OLA and our special collaborator Karla Medina decided to take the initiative to collect some things that could make latin workers feel loved and encouraged because we know is difficult to be away from home in this situation and without knowing anyone.
Beautiful people appeared and donated coca cola, water, table games, Spanish books to read, toiletries, cookies, bread, cartas with messages of support, among other things. It has been an incredible experience that show that we are not alone. We are together around the world.
